Pymacs無法在Emacs24上啓動

我正在使用Emacs 24並且Pymacs似乎無法啓動。

我從ELPA安裝了pymacs。當我寫M-x pymacs-eval並給出一個arbitary表達，它給了我下面的錯誤：

pymacs-report-error: Pymacs helper did not start within 30 seconds 

而且我得到的Pymacs緩衝區以下消息：從ELPA包

pymacs似乎沒有上班。

從github repository手動下載和安裝它使它工作。 ELPA的pymacs包只包含Emacs lisp文件（.el文件），但存儲庫也包含Python文件，我也在其文件夾中運行了sudo python setup.py install的命令。
